The Face of an Orphan

Today I am doing a very important post. Recently I have been doing posts on a advocacy blog. It has opened my eyes to how many kids there are out there in desperate need of a family. The pictures following are just a couple of those kids.

Charity
Caleb

Christine

Tara
Marat

These kids are in desparate need of families. I'll upload each kids description next to there names:

Charity:     Girl, Born September 26, 2008
CHARITY LOST HER FAMILY!

What a munchkin!  Big brown eyes :)    More photos available.  Charity is a beautiful girl with Down syndrome.  She was born with a heart condition, but has had corrective surgery and is healthy and doing well now.  She is still crawling, and will greatly benefit from a loving family to encourage her development!!

Caleb:    Boy, Born November 29, 2007
China   From a missionary who visited with him in August 2010:  “  Caleb is extroverted, active and restless. He has a ready smile, enjoys playing with other children. He loves listening to music, watching cartoons. He is energetic and likes being outdoors!”    More photos available, along with full social history and medical records

Christine:   Girl, Born October 2008
Look at this princess!   What a smile!   Healthy and doing well.
From her caregivers:  active, communicative, likes to play with different toys, babbles, like to be with other children.

Marat:
From our facilitator who visited with him:   He is diagnosed with HIV.  But a strange thing by the fact he is very healthy, practically never ill.  Has very high IQ. One missionary gifted him a notebook (computer), he doesn't leave the gift anywhere. He is a very talented  student of the 4 level.
Marat is very special. He is a very talented boy not just skilled, I really mean talented! He is creative and talented in drawing. He has mastered a lot of computer programs by himself. His favorite subject at school is Math and he is very fond of foreign languages. He reads a lot. He is a person of his own mind. He is not a simple child, but at the same time he is very communicative with adults. He is very advanced and he will be easy going with those whom he respects. It is very interesting to discuss any subject with him; he has his own point of view and a very wide view.
Marat has a very sad and painful life story, one that can be shared with prospective families privately.  He really wants and needs a loving family, and will do SO WELL in that environment!   ***Marat is also an OLDER CHILD, and will be on the streets with nothing if he is not adopted.  He will never be able to get a job because no one will hire him.  His "orphan and HIV status" will follow him the rest of her life.  Please give Marat a chance to grow up in the Land of Opportunity and inclusion. ***

Tara:   Girl, Born September 30, 2002
China
She is extroverted and can express her feelings very well. When she is happy she will greet you warmly and embrace you enthusiastically; if she thinks that she was treated wrongly she will make sharp sound and cry loudly to blow off her discontent. She has made great physical progress and can go up and down stairs and loves to dance around!

Please pray for these children who have a very special place in my heart.

I'm Back

Sorry for not doing a post on this blog for so long. Somehow in the time I have not posted Mom and Dad left for Ukraine, came back. Caleb and Dad left then they came back with Julia my adorable little sister.
I now official have the cutest sister on earth. She is so playful and she loves to be hugged. When she's in the mood :). So that happened and I've done a couple posts on a advocacy blog called Speaking for the Silent. So that's what I've been up to. Here are some more pictures of Julia and her with her family:

Now you see what I mean by cutest sister ever, huh?
